Project Runway Returns!

Dear Claudette and friends,

I'm so excited that Project Runway will finally be back on Thursday, July 28 for a new season. As some of you know, I'm quite the fashion fiend. I love clothes, I prefer designs with a girly European flair, but have a hard time finding anything here that suits my taste. I greatly admire Sabine's wardrobe and have threatened to visit and raid her closet. See her blog here.

Anyway, since the local shops don't really have much that suits my style I have to rely on Etsy sellers, and on Mom and Dad back home to send me the latest fashions. They haven't sent me anything except a gift card to some stores at the mall! They are too busy with work and traveling to bother shopping for me (and you know it's not always a good idea to have Mom buy your clothes).

As for Project Runway, some of the designs are complete disasters, others are inspiring. I swore I wasn't going to watch another season after the tragedy that was Gretchen's win. I've never seen such horrid, shapeless, plain, colorless pieces before and she actually WON? I wasn't the only one that was upset by this, but enough time has passed that I'm willing to give the show one more try. Only because I love fashion. But if the judges or Heidi mention her name again I'm changing the channel.

Bodhi Becomes Bald (not really)

Dearest Claudette,

I'm so sorry we haven't written. We've been busy and now the summer is half over! Juliette is busy with her cooking classes (recipes and pictures to come soon). She's mastering macarons, madeleines, and other wonderful pastries from home. The kitchen is a mess and I saw flour on her favorite outfit the other day. Shocking, I know.

Just a quick update. Bodhi the rebel decided her super-duper-excessingly-long hair was annoying in the summer heat, and the worst part was that she couldn't get it all under her swim cap without looking like she had some huge alien growth sticking out of the back of her head. She was embarrassed when she joined the water polo team and spent all her time in the locker room trying to get her hair in the cap.

So what did she do? She got it cut. I have to admit, it's easier and Sébastien the cat has stopped chasing her flowing locks when she walks across the room.

Here's one more pic of me and Bodhi. Juliette was nice enough to take the pictures but she noticed Bodhi's hair is like hers now and I think there might be some competition.
